Rowena Murillo is an artist, writer, and teacher from NYC, who attended the famed LaGuardia HS of the Arts.
She has worked with many media, written art reviews and showed her work in many places, and has taught literature, humanities, writing, art, creativity, poetry and personal empowerment. Her work shows the influences of abstract expressionism as well as impressionism and surrealism, and the narrative nature of meaning making, both visually and with words appears in many ways.
She now lives in Dunnellon, Florida with her two teenagers and a handful of pets, finally having a studio to daily explore memory, emotion and understanding via abstracts, expressionism and landscapes in a bold new way.
