Much like love, a lighthouse provides a bit of whimsical fantasy. With summer often including beach getaways and exploration of a mystical lighthouse, Aruba offered an opportunity to capture the strength, beauty and nostalgia of the California Lighthouse with my Nikon z7 with a 28-300 mm lens. I was able to extend the scene beyond the lighthouse's boundaries in post production. The lighthouse finished construction in 1916 in Aruba and was named after the steamship California, which shipwrecked nearby.
